Tel Aviv’s Junktion design studio was established in 2008 “to create a meeting point with what the city has already classified as junk.” With a healthy sense of humor the designers purpose to take everyday objects out of context and use them in unconventional ways.

Take for example these television lamps shown above which are made of lampshade fabric, a light and of course a plastic T.V. cabinet.

This bicycle round table is one of my personal favorites. It is made of bicycle parts, glass and stainless steel pipes. I especially like the industrial strength springs on those great seats.

Very smart this old suitcase on legs.

A super gas clock made of old stove parts.

A clever curiosity are these shoe tree lamps at left. And the petals are fantastic on the neighboring quirky bar chair made of obviously recycled bicycle parts.
