Last month I featured a few posters from the Library of Congress WPA collection, circa 1936-1943. Another LOC gem is the 1939 Federal Art Project Calendar. According to the LOC website, “this calendar was created by the New York City Poster Division in 1938 to show government officials the skilled artistic work the Federal Art Project was doing for the WPA.” I have selected a few of my favorite pages to share with you. (Psst… next month I will be offering a pair WPA posters as fine art prints in my first blog giveaway!)
