Many of you may already be familiar with the curated online exhibit space Papernstitch, the brainchild of the very talented artist Brittni Wood. Brittni launched the site last fall to provide an attractive and affordable venue for artisans to showcase their wares. The latest monthly exhibit opened last week and it is a beauty. I particularly like much of the featured illustration and print work and have included a few of my favorites below. All have been chosen for their wonderful visual interest, either in terms of strong graphic quality and/or exceptional line work.

01. Susan B. Anthony Letterpress Moleskin by Blackbird Letterpress.

02. Instamatic x35 (digital print of original pen and ink drawing) by Sloe Gin Fizz.
03. Small Birds Postcard (cropped) by Joanna Cheung.

04. Whale of a Time (digital print of original ink drawing, cropped detail) by Virginia.

In addition to the exhibit site Brittni also authors a fantastic blog and has invited some great guest contributors to join her. The blog complements the exhibit site in its dedication to creative inspiration for all things art, design and craft plus offers a good dash of indie business/marketing advice.
I am very privileged to count Brittni as a friend. It has been truly exciting to have watched Papernstitch grow so quickly! I speak from experience when I say that Brittni is an excellent promoter with a very generous spirit. You will definitely want to visit her sites. And if you are an artisan, consider applying for inclusion in an upcoming exhibit.

p.s. Brittni is a newlywed! Her husband and business partner, Jeff Mehlhoff, is an ace web designer and he developed the Papernstitch sites. Jeff has a fantastic site of his own with fellow web designer Dennis Eusebio. Their site EMPRNT showcases books for design enthusiasts. You will not only find great books featured here but plenty of fabulous bookshelf imagery.
