Roarin’ Taishou.

by Amy@AQ-V on July 30, 2009

This silkscreen beauty titled Taishou Romance Sunrise by Adam at Ahpeele arrived in my mailbox recently and I couldn’t be more pleased! Adam describes the work as a modernized romantic take on a traditional Japanese graphic. The Taishou period in Japan was akin to the Roarin’ Twenties here in America.

Rich colors and bold graphics combined with exquisite patterning and fine details including small touches of metallic silver ink make this print even more handsome in person. Plus fantastic print quality. Adam and his wife Hiromi have a thriving art and screen printing business for good reason. Visit their website to see more Japanese inspired art t’s and print works.
