Mon Petite Modernisms.

Barry Smith is a senior art director with a gift for thrift… ing as an extracurricular sport in his West Chicago neighborhood. Above are shots of a vintage mid-century modern set of Strombecker Heywood-Wakefield doll furniture that he landed upon earlier this year. And as you can see it is in mint condition. This find is extra sweet as not only does it include the furniture but also the original boxes and brochure… truly amazing.

And occasionally you’ll find him sharing said spoils in his shop.

We want to hug Barry for this. Barry? You hear that?

I’m a hugger. No problem there. But what did I do to deserve such affection? And from the Olive, no doubt! Please explain. I’ll go take a shower in expectation. (I take one once a month…whether I need one, or not).

Why the whole page of Flickr photos devoted to these little babies, of course.
