Above and below are fantastic World Cinema poster designs by Danish artist Sven Brasch (1886-1970) whose work was an important influence on Early Art Deco in European graphic design. He experienced a rush of success at a young age and was very prolific because of it. In 1925 his posters were awarded a gold medal at the Paris Exhibition. It is quite unfortunate his career largely dried up by the time WWII broke out… 1956 marked the year of his last commercial drawings. Mr. Brasch died near Copenhagen in 1970 at the age of 84 almost forgotten. (Bio info via Squidoo) See a large collection of Brasch’s design work at Confetta’s flickr.
