I recently fell head first into the online poster collection at the London Transport Museum. It is a fantastic resource brimming with remarkable designs from the past century, vintage to contemporary. Today I present to you mid century modern poster highlights from the 1950s with more to come from another choice decade later this month.

If you find yourself in the London area I strongly encourage you to see this wonderful museum firsthand. Their current exhibit is titled Surburbia: from homes to gnomes, how public transport shaped the suburbs. It is open until March 31st, 2010.
