Above is the mid-century signature of title design master Maurice Binder (1925-1991). This was the first of fifteen iconic James Bond title sequences designed by Binder. His affinity for the 60s pop art scene is apparent with its influence from both graphic design and comic strip art. Amazingly, Binder often only had three days to complete a Bond sequence. His final title sequence was License to Kill in 1989.
