The ultra sophisticated work of James Kirkup can easily mask this young UK designer’s age. And that is what makes James’ results all the more remarkable, along side his refreshingly unassuming manner. James’ designs are characterized by a striking and refined simplicity of form including his use of imagery, typography and geometry both in solo and in tandem. Above I’ve featured a choice selection of his freelance work for a variety of music industry related clients. More about James:

I’ve been based at Head London for the last three years crafting innovative digital projects for large worldwide clients such as British Gas, Electrolux, Humanic, Microsoft, British Heart Foundation and many more.

Outside of Head I work on small freelance project for bands, record labels and similar clients predominantly in print. I have been lucky enough to work for some really great people and I’m always open for new projects.

Along side my work I also write the occasional design and music based article over on the London based Slutty Fringe Magazine. If you would like me to feature anything or if you have any other comments please feel free to get in touch.

I particularly like “Jumeaux” displayed on James’ site. Dramatic and streamlined.
