Mr. Purnam Sticker Set + Art Wall
UK artist Mr Purnam is based in Brighton. He mixes both traditional and digital techniques and random imagery to create visually arresting results with a strong graphic quality. I especially like the juxtaposition of the playful organic forms with the more detailed, yet stylized prehistoric bird heads—a tip off to Mr Purnam’s keen sense of visual humor. I’m also fond of his wonderful use of negative space which permeates much of his work.
I continue to explore opposites in my work: deriving beauty from misery, a smile from the mundane and the masculine from the feminine.
