A fresh quartet of beautiful, expressive line drawings by Los Angeles artist Jerry Shawback. I had the pleasure of featuring his work earlier this year which you can see here. Jerry has continued to post a new gesture drawing each day on flickr as part of his ongoing drawing 365 project. By way of his daily sketches, he records the people and experiences surrounding him and his persistent study of the human form.
Jerry is primarily a fine art painter. However, in his former career he worked as a designer and animator following his communication design degree at the Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design. Jerry returned to his studio art full time in 2007. You can see his exciting self-portrait painting series on The Whole 9 plus more. And now through April 17th, catch a portion of this series on exhibit in the Faces show at Gallery 9 (an extension of The Whole 9) located in Culver City, California.
