When I was younger I thought for some reason it would be a good idea to change my hand writing to neat all caps printing. Well, here I am years later laboring over all caps hand writing. Maybe if I do this enough I can change it back. Each page is filled with my attempt at lowercase/cursive printing. I really like the texture that these pages have filled with my handwriting, and so I present it to you.

Third Person 7
3.5″ x 4.25″ Polaroid photo, 1 of 1
There’s something magical about capturing light—the most basic element of photography—on a Polaroid. A moment that only lasts for a minute as the sun sets is locked in time right before your eyes; and over time even this record will fade.

Maybe it’s a result of all having traveled so much as kids, but it seems that my family can’t stay in one place. Home for me isn’t a place, it’s wherever I’m with my people. Thanks Chicago for making me feel at home.

Bud Rodecker is a talented young graphic designer in Chicago with a fresh perspective. In 2010 he set out to create something spontaneous each and every day as part of his RicharDaily project. These works are available for purchase—most are one of a kind, a small few are limited editions. Bud provided me some further back story on his self-initiated project:
It started as a way to kick me out of my laziness and get myself back into the creative mode. I was pretty inspired by Rick Valicenti’s Notes to Self project. (Bud works under Rick at Thirst design collaborative.) Watching him make that body of work and working on the book and site for it really pushed me to want to make something.
So here I am, making 365 things in 2010. I love the buzz from creating something new, and inventing a new something, and I love seeing others reactions from my work. But I have no idea where this is going to lead.
A little bit of this, a little bit of that. RicharDaily is my playground to create, and leave it at that. If there ever was anything that could motivate me, it is a deadline, and this project is my daily deadline to keep me making new things everyday. If you like it take it home with you!
