These strong visuals are part of a batch of nine vintage USSR matchbox labels I purchased earlier this year. The bold illustrations in stark black and white with a backdrop of vivid green drew me in a heartbeat, not to mention the hats and beards which permeate the set. I would post more but as you can see they are rather redundant.
As always you can count on more Soviet bits to come on AQ-V.

I’m curious, what the real size of these pieces? Graphically, it’s pretty efficient. Hero culture… Is your neighbour a hero?
Hi Egiova :)
You are right, these are very efficient graphically. The matchbox labels measure in at less than 2 inches by 1.5 inches… or about 5 cm by 3,5 cm.
