Expo’70, the 1970 World’s Fair in Osaka, Japan / Higher Wharf Productions 2009
大阪万博 Expo70 Our two day tour originated in Tokyo. We traveled to Nagoya on the bullet train and visited Kyoto in the afternoon. The second day we saw the World’s Fair and returned to Tokyo that night. The fair was very crowded and all the pavilions had long lines, so we didn’t see much. Westerners were a novelty though, especially the ones with blond hair! Mary Hopkin, the singer, gave several concerts at the fair. Her song in Japanese is extraordinarily beautiful.
