Peter at Sabadabada has been collecting Brazilian records for well over 15 years. On his website you will discover a deep arsenal of cover art organized by record label and catalog issue number. I chose a few of my favorite graphic and typographic covers from his extensive online gallery to undergo a little TLC digital processing and then present to you here. Be sure to follow the link above to see many more fantastic cover designs.

Tamba Trio – Philips

Claudio Marcelo E Seu Orgao – Musidisc

The Hi-Los Happen To Bossa Nova – Reprise

Premiere – Elenco

Nara – Elenco

I’m with you on the Tamba Trio cover. I also really like the Hi-Los. All very clean designs.

These are especially dynamic…. can almost hear each one with my eyes. Great work! Thanks.

A very well done website (not only the record covers)! Would you mind if I link you to my recommendation index?

P.S.: The Hi-Lo’s is an US outfit, not Brazilian.

Hi AD,

Great site yourself. Always a treat to see Brazilian covers in the spotlight! Thanks for the comment and feedback. Appreciate the link.

Yeah, I know the Hi-Lo’s are American and a bit of an intruder here. :-) This cover was part of Peter’s collection I highlighted in the post, in his mix because it is a bossa nova one am sure.

Thanks again!
Amy
