A second year level school research project focusing on the history of graphic design. Initially each student selected a country and an era on which to focus their research. I chose Japan in the 1980s. This fold out card is a summary of my findings. The pooled group research of the 300 students was compiled into the book Pain and Pleasure – 70 years of Graphic Design.
This book was produced for a third year level school project. The basis of the project was to use expressive typography to translate (enhance) a story or fairytale. I chose to do a typographic translation of Jorge Luis Borges story entitled “Undr” (meaning Wonder).
