A simple mix of photography and graphics makes the image trilogy ALSK by graphic designer and photographer Christian Con L’ H in Italy. As Christian mischievously states, “I hope this gets on a graphic design blog. I followed all the rules.”
Rules, you ask? I am going to venture out and make an educated guess and assume he means the ‘float a basic graphic or two and/or a dash of sans serif type over any softly hued photo you like and you are guaranteed to be published on the graphic design blog of your choice’ rule/formula.
Christian sent me his linkage as he did multiple other blogs it appears from the number of times I have seen his work pop up recently. Of course it could be argued I should not be posting his work; you will undoubtedly accuse me of playing right into his hands and the obvious stereotype. But then again, what better way to illustrate Christian’s point?
Oh, it amuses me. And besides I rather like this series. It’s tasteful and has good visual movement. It’s a bit more complex than some of his other pieces to date; the others appear further tongue in cheek. Surely, yes? No?
See more evidence of Christian designing ‘by the rules’ in his portfolio.
