Fresh mid-century poster design via the London Transport Museum, a great resource for both vintage and contemporary works.
If you find yourself in the London area you will want to see the LT Museum firsthand. Their current exhibitions are titled The travel posters of artist and illustrator John Burningham and Sense and the City: Smart, connected and on the move, open until December 2011 and March 2012 respectively.
Visit the museum website for more information. While there, don’t miss their online film collection, circa 1910–1970.

Editor’s note:
This post was originally published in February of 2010; it has been updated accordingly. As AQ-V has been fortunate to receive a huge leap in visitors this past year, I have decided to pull favorite bits here and there from the archives to present to hopefully new eyes.
Thank you always for your readership!
