Striking design work proposed by Michelle Berki as the graphic standards manual for Russia’s bid for the World Cup in 2018. Michelle recently graduated with a BFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Follow the name link to see more of her terrific portfolio.
One of Russia’s most iconic structures are the onion domes of St.Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow’s Red Square. I utilized this shape along with the hexagons that make up a soccer ball in order to connect the two ideas. Russian Constructivist typography completes the mark and these elements are carried throughout the branding system.
