For those in or near the New York City area between now and this September you have a wonderful opportunity to see a selection of over 60 jewelry works and additional ceramics and flatware by pioneering mid-century studio art jeweler Margaret De Patta (1903–1964)—plus photographs, pictograms and newly released archival material at the Museum of Arts and Design. The retrospective exhibit is a co-venture with the Oakland Museum of California, where the show was initially exhibited this past spring. Of note, the OMCA holds the largest collection of De Patta’s work.
