On a recent Google hunt I landed among these vivid and luscious vintage Japanese matchbox labels from the early Shōwa period (akin to our Western Roarin’ 20s). These batch sets of petite modern Art Deco works originate largely from Kyoto and Osaka. They are being offered up for sale by the Kyoto Arts shop on eBay which purveys a choice collection of beautiful Japanese ephemera. The current auction is up in about 5–6 days if you would like to place a bid.

Gorgeous. As I always said: If you like typefaces, then you like packaging.
Good to hear from you, Egiova. :-)
