Brilliant work by young London based illustrator Lindsey Spinks leaves one hungry to see more. Her exquisite details, patterning and hand lettering plus remarkable portraiture caught my eye immediately. Lindsey is fresh, fresh, fresh having graduated summer 2010 with a BA Honours Illustration degree from Kingston University.
My work is a combination of observational drawings and elements from my imagination. I love attention to detail and fine lines. My medium of choice is my beloved mechanical pencil. I enjoy using traditional drawing methods and developing them into contemporary illustration. I have a particular interest in character design and often my work relates to health related subjects.
My work has been jury selected for publication in Images 34 – The Best Of British Illustration. It was also selected for the annual Images exhibition in London.
