Such delectable work by young London illustrator Benjamin Mills. Admittedly I favor traditional techniques over digital and Ben’s spare paintings are right up my alley. Follow the name link to see much more of his choice portfolio.

Having grown up in rural Gloucestershire, I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Illustration from the University of Brighton in 2009, and now live and work in London.

I paint in acrylic, oil and watercolour, and also make use of pencils, ink and digital software.

I am influenced by old master painters and the ‘Golden Age’ illustrators of the early 20th century, as well as by traditional animation and the cartoons I grew up adoring. Natural history is also a strong presence in my work. When time allows, I like to spend it outdoors painting and drawing on location, documenting overlooked places and subjects and the world around me.
