This brilliant experimental title sequence by young Israeli artist Yaron Steinberg was created for a class project at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem earlier this year. It reflects a keen use of animated typography and photographic architecture with a Hitchcockian sound touch.
You may have seen Yaron’s large scale conceptual art installation which has made its way around the blogosphere in might recently—a dynamic representation of his brain as he imagines it to be, constructed of cardboard and lights. See it here and here.

Couldn’t take my eyes off it. Good find Amy, loved the pace.
Brilliant work! Thanks for sharing, it was a wonderful moment.
Plus: it’s the right way to treat the catastrophic buildings thought by LeCorbusier. I don’t know if you ever lived in such blockhaus (german word composed with “block” and “house”), but it’s nightmarish. Concrete jungle really.
Back to the trees (said my cousin australopitecus)!
Hi Rajesh, the visuals and the timing are something aren’t they. Super to hear you enjoyed it, thanks so much for the comment.
Salut Egiova, also glad you enjoyed Yaron’s piece. And yes, I hear you on the boxy concrete jungle. One can but only look for an escape. Your cousin Australopitecus was on to something. :-)
