More modernist logos above as if a person could reach their quota. These emblems revolve around the bird kingdom, a few well known marks plus some heavyweight mid-century designers in the mix as well. You may also enjoy animal-centric logos found in prior features: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. And as always more classic logos coming down the pike.
These logos are sourced from Trade Marks & Symbols, Volume 2: Symbolical Designs, a terrific hardback set edited by notable Japanese graphic designer Yasaburo Kuwayama and published in 1973.

Stefan Bernaciński → not Czechoslovakia, but Poland; not “Naszo Ksiegarnia”, but “Nasza Księgarnia”.
Hello Tomek- Thanks for the correction, have updated accordingly. The errors are in the original text from 1973. Possibly further complicated by the fact this book was translated into English from Japanese.
Gorgeousness abounds!
These are wonderful – so bold.
I remember my struggle when a profesor presented the 1st and 5th design to us, and asked us to reproduced it with rules and ink… Oldy but goldy days.
Since then I learned to love the clean execution of these old pieces of art.
La ligne claire. I love your blog.
Hi you guys, thanks so much for the comments! Wonderful to hear you enjoy these.
Egiova- Always a treat to get your input and long perspective on the design industry with personal anecdotes, always! And thank you for your kindness regarding the blog.
